New Hope ’s Community Development mission is “to work with local municipalities in our service area in capacity building and forming partnerships to create quality professional services for the local resident.”

New Hope works with clients who are being displaced from their homes either by their owner/landlord or by the municipality where the property is located. We work to find out why the client is being displaced and what resources the clients have to work with in order to find them a comparable home. Currently we are working to relocate 9 households and a business that are located in a chronic flood area in downtown Jeffersonville as well as residents being displaced by the Big Four Bridge and Park project.
